Special Guest Spotlight on Lena Blankenstein-Holmström


Our Guest Designer this month is Lena Blankenstein-Holmström.  Lena's work really amazes us and we are so excited to share it with you!

LENA: Hi, I’m very honoured to be the guest designer this month. My name is Lena Blankenstein-Holmström, and I’m a mixed media artist from Finland.
I have been creative all my life, but for the last 7 years, art has been a big part of me. Art brings balance into my life. I love using recycled materials when I'm creating art. Somebodys trash can be a treasure for me!

Here is Lena's interpretation of our challenge:
LENA:  The mood board this month, inspired me to grab an old book ( I love old books), and alter it. I love that you can use old books in many different ways. It’s so relaxing to carve them up. You should try it! If i feel stressed I just take a deep breath and make same art or spend quality time with my grandchildren. I love that.
