Special Guest Spotlight on Mukta Maniar (VREnchanted) April 2021

Hello again everyone!  This month we have great pleasure to introduce you to Mukta Parvatikar-Maniar, also known as VREnchanted, our Guest Designer for April!

We invite you to browse through her blog and social media links below, and get to know her better through her beautiful work.  I hope you enjoy her interpretation of our sketch and please leave her some love in the comments!

Mukta/VREnchanted:  Hello guys...My name is Mukta Parvatikar-Maniar....I go by the name VREnchanted on my social media handles.  I have a bunch of Engineering degrees but I truly feel I am not an engineer at heart. I use my engineering background in my crafts and try to make innovative projects. I have always been a crafter at least as long as I can remember. I have been blogging from 2016 but in recent years I am more inclined towards Instagram.

My favorite work style is shabby chic and vintage and I love playing with glitter and flowers. I enjoy making layouts, cards, cash envelopes, gift boxes, scrapbooks, canvas and tags, altered arts and journal pages using mixed media techniques.

You can see more of Mukta's beautiful work on by following the links below.

Here's a reminder of our current Main Challenge:

Word Inspiration - PERFECT
Creative Challenge - USE OUR SKETCH

And now, let's enjoy Mukta's interpretation of our challenge:

Project Description
I have done a very colorful mixed media layout keeping the sketch in mind. When I saw the word PERFECT....nothing fitted better than babies...I think every child is a perfect creation by GOD....they are flawless miracles. So I decided to do a very colorful layout with lots of flowers and embellishments while keeping the sleeping angel as the focal element....Hope you all agree with me.

Here are some closer looks at Mukta's beautiful project...

A huge THANK YOU to Mukta for joining us as our
Special Guest for April 2021!  Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us.

We hope that Mukta's beautiful layout inspires you to join us
in our April Main Challenge.

Design Team Inspiration

Aude:  Here is my tag, I used the word "IDEAL" to illustrate this good moment of contemplation towards nature.

AGA MIRKOWSKA (CARD)

Aga:  The IDEAL (wedding) day card made using 'Homemade' and Flora Book Paper Collections by Mintay Papers - our great Sponsor

Asia:  Using the word "IDEAL" was a real challenge for me, because it means something different to each of us. While creating, I thought about the "ideal day for": adventure, conquest of seas and oceans, being a pirate, or death.

DANA TATAR (ATC)

Dana:  The Sun Moon Stars Digital Collage Set from Gecko Galz fit my quote about ideals perfectly. I embellished the printed image with glitter paint and glue and then added copper chipboard stars to add a cosmic shimmer to the galaxy background of this artist trading card.

Heike:  We all need IDEAL´s to guide our footsteps" I created a postcard with 13@rts Color Glow and a stamp from the travel the word collection.

ELLE WILSON (ATC)

Elle: For this month's mini challenge I was inspired by the word IDEAL to think about what I would like as my IDEAL day, and here is the answer "I just want to drink tea, pet cats and read books!"  So I drew a little cat holding a cup of tea, taking a break from reading his favourite book.  The background is a page from a calendar I was given for this year, which is all about cats and books.  Someone knows me too well lol.

SHARON FRITCHMAN (TAG)

Sharon: I made my tag using ink sprays and a favorite quote about letting your IDEALS guide your footsteps. The beautiful butterflies that you see on my tag are from the CoreStack "Anemones & Friends" from ArtStacks!!!

PRIYA MISHRA (TAG)

Priya:  My tag for the month with a very realistic quote " Find your IDEAL in something not IDEAL"

EMMA ZAPPONE (TAG)

Emma:  'The Ideal of calm exists in a sitting cat'.  And sometimes to be a Cat would be IDEAL.  Featuring 2Crafty Chipboard.

HEATHER MCMAHON  (CARD)

Heather:  Card made using a new ArtStacks CardStack.

April 2021 Main Challenge 2nd Reveal - PERFECT and SKETCH

Welcome to the 2nd reveal of our April Main Challenge! This month we ask you to share what PERFECT means to you and to use our SKETCH for your project.

As always, our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge. The word inspiration can appear on your project or not but you must show that you have been inspired by it. The creative challenge must be used on your project!

Word Inspiration - PERFECT
Creative Challenge - SKETCH

Helpful Tips For The Challenge

Who or what is PERFECT to you? Is it a person or a pet? Maybe you have experienced a perfect day. Have you had an amazing vacation or have you found the house of your dreams? Maybe you've found that special dress or want to create about your best friend. Share your idea of perfect with us! The creative challenge this month is a SKETCH by our very own Heike Bruhn. You don't need to add a photo if you don't want to and you can flip and interpret the sketch any way you like. We just need to see that you've based your project on this design.

And now let's look at our second DT Inspiration for this month:

AsiaI used the SKETCH to create my layout. I used paper with gray tones as the base. I used stamps from AB Studio to make this project more interesting. I like to use mediums in my projects. I used embossing powder and paints. The word PERFECT reminded me of a black and white photo I had printed for a long time. Isn't that smile perfect?

AudeFor this April challenge, I chose Mintay papers for this SKETCH, and
I used the word PERFECT to illustrate this beautiful picture of my daughters at sea. It was a wonderful moment.

DanaI'm always on the quest for the PERFECT beer to enjoy responsibly. My local offerings are good, but I often have a soft spot for a taste of home. I picked up a great brew from Bell's which is located in my home state of Michigan. The packaging definitely stood out on the shelf, featuring bright colors and fun speech bubbles with common Michigan sayings. I used a lot of pieces cut from the box as embellishments on this page. I followed the SKETCH closely and took inspiration for the theme and color palette of this page from the beer. Cheers!

Emma: It's been a long time since I played with a SKETCH but I loved the playfulness of this creative challenge. As for the word inspiration I chose to use PERFECT in my title because when you have that first sip of coffee (or tea) that's when you are in PERFECT oblivion to what the world around you is doing. It's just you and that hot cuppa.

Heikes: I had a PERFECT day when I created this art journal page. The birds were singing so beautifully and the air outside felt as if it was spring, so I decided to create a pastel color art journal page in honor of the upcoming season. The word PERFECT is glued as a little piece from my dictionary and for the creative challenge I followed the sketch vertically.

SharonIt doesn't happen very often, but my husband, daughters, and I had a PERFECT morning when we took this photo! I enjoyed working with the creative SKETCH to make my layout using papers and embellishments from my stash.

AgaI used the SKETCH and I prepared a layout using 13Arts products (papers, stencil, mediums, transparent foil, chipboard, glitter, ephemera) as inspiration for the April challenge. Sometimes, we wake up in the morning thinking: 'It's gonna be a PERFECT day' or 'It's gonna be a PERFECT project' and then something unplanned comes out. We are surprised, even angry with that, but this is how our world works and we have to chill out sometimes and have fun.

Anna: My take on our April challenge is an art journal entry. PERFECT - for perfect memories. I used the photo from a short weekend trip to Italy two years ago and one day spent driving through the Alps...beautiful views, great day, incredible space, freedom. It was a great trip. And I think that using a SKETCH is also a great idea for art journal pages!

And now for some of those changes mentioned above. There will no longer be Runner Up, Random, or Mystery winners for our Main Challenge. This year we have changed to a Regional Prize structure, whereby there will be multiple Main Challenge Winners, one or more from each Region. The number of Winners/Prizes for each Region is dependent on the number of Sponsors for that Region. Some of our Sponsors remain as International Sponsors but many are now Region specific. It is now more important than ever that you add your NAME and COUNTRY to your Inlinkz entries!
