December 2018 Mini Challenge - MERRY

Because we know that the month of December is a very busy month,
we have decided to reveal our Mini Challenge a week early,
and thus giving you 2 weeks to play along with us for a chance to win!

The Mini Challenge runs on the last week of each month and is for:
cards, tags, ATCs and postcards only.

ATCs, or Artist Trading Cards, are small works of art, about 2.5 by 3.5 inches
or 64 x 89 mm. Postcards are usually an A6 size, which is a quarter
 of an A4 ie, around 4 x 6 inches or 105mm x 148mm. If your postcard
is bulky, you could always pop it in an envelope to mail it.

This challenge requires you to use a specific word on your project.
We must see the actual word
You have only one week - until the last day of the month - to enter, so be quick!

Entry for the Mini Challenge is only
via our Facebook page under the relevant post.

The winner, as voted by our DT, will receive a $25 USD value prize
from THE DUSTY ATTIC, our fabulous Mini Challenge sponsor!

You can see all our rules under the RULES tab above.

Is this word inspiring you to make a mini creation? We sure hope so!

ASIA MARQUET - cards

TORSA SAHA - card

MARY TZALLA - card

In this time of year, we just know that the word MERRY will
inspire you to create many mini projects to share with us!
So, needless to say, we're looking forward to see what you will create!

December 2018 Main Challenge
BELIEVE & STAMPING

It is already December which means that this is the very last
Main Challenge reveal for 2018! Where did the time go?!

It has been a truly great year with an amazing DT, fabulous challenges
and the most wonderful followers and participants to our blog.
As much as we may inspire you every month with our challenges,
each and every one of you do not cease to inspire us with your projects,
your comments and your ongoing love and support.

Thank you from all of us at More Than Words!!!

Now, who wants to see our brand new Main Challenge?!

Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.

Word Inspiration - BELIEVE
Creative Challenge - STAMPING

What does the word BELIEVE inspire you to create?
You can choose to use the actual word somewhere on your project
or simply be inspired by it.  Since words are an integral part of our challenges, we want to know how this month's word stimulated your creative process, so please do explain in your blog post how
it inspired you if it isn't obvious in your work.

The creative challenge this month is to use STAMPING on your project. Whether you add stamping on your background, stamp a date or frame your photo with stamped images, we believe your creations will be amazing! So grab your rubber, clear acrylic, foam or roller stamps
and the ink pad of your choice and stamp away!

Please check out all our challenge rules in the RULES tab above.

Now let's see what our fabulous designers have come up with
inspired by the BELIEVE & STAMPING main challenge!

Sivan: For me BELIEVING is the basis of everything. If I have a dream, I choose to take it with both hands and think about how to achieve it. I also try to educate my kids to believe in themselves as well. I chose to use on my layout a clean background to be able to create patterns with black and white STAMPING that I really like. It is the basis of the whole composition! I hope that your Christmas is beautiful and gives you lots of happy memories to scrap in 2019!

Valerie: My layout represents that we must BELIEVE in the future... that life can sometimes be difficult, but that everything ends up getting better. I believe in a good life for you and for us. I STAMPED my background with lots of stamps for the creative challenge. I wish you a Merry Christmas and great moments in 2019!

Janice: Meditation and affirmations are great tools which help me
through daily life. This affirmation 'BELIEVE, if you believe,
all things are possible' is one that I say each day. For the creative challenge
I STAMPED the word 'believe' using some really old alphas. I painted each
letter and also stamped onto the page. I did the same with the green hearts.
I have also stamped silver and black butterflies and added some black stamped stitching. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2019!

Martina: I am a believer! I BELIEVE in miracles, I believe in good, I believe in the beauty of our dreams. Creating this layout I used traditional colours and added lots of STAMPING as I always do. Being in this amazing design team was a huge honor for me and I will always keep warm feelings for all of my teammates. I'm wishing you all a magical and warm Christmas and a Happy New 2019!

Heike: BELIEVE in your creative art... is actually my motivational sentence for 2019! I have lots of creative dreams; one of them is to study modern and abstract art. I will combine the study in my scrapbook layouts and art journal pages. My aim is to grow in my art. Now for the creative challenge, it was easy for me as I usually STAMP a lot on my pages as I did on this one! I wish you
a very festive December month and all the best for 2019!

Anguree: I BELIEVE that all things are possible. I believe that if you seek, you shall find. I believe that Christmas is more than just a day, that a child was born to bring peace on earth and salvation for those who believe. That is what I tried to represent on my page, while at the same time, adding some leafy STAMPING all around my composition. Merry Christmas dear friends and may you have a joyous and blessed 2019!

Asia: I do BELIEVE in magic... in the magic that is hidden within all of us! I also believe in the goodness of everyone's hearts and endless possibilities of our minds. I incorporated a lot of STAMPING on my art journal spread to create a very festive scene. For this Christmas and New Year, I wish you all to believe in the magic which is in you, to believe in yourself and your amazing capabilities!
Live your life and live it well!

Rosalie: My inspiration for the word BELIEVE is my granddaughter Amelia. I hope that as she grows up, she believes in herself, what she can achieve and what her life dreams will be. I have used STAMPS for the background with rusting powder and all the embellishments are stamps that have been sprayed, painted and fussy cut. Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Heather: The word BELIEVE made me think of Christmas so I scrapped these fun photos about our crazy family Christmas last year. I did loads of back STAMPING on the background and added watercolours to the stamped frames and some of the images around the photos. There are so many ways you can create with stamps! Hope you have a wonderful Holiday season, as crazy and fun as ours
was last year and most likely will be this year too!

Mary: This time of the year is my favorite! You see, I do BELIEVE in Christmas. I believe in the magic of it just like I did when I was a little girl. For the creative challenge I used lots of STAMPS on my background with black ink. I wish that the magic of Christmas finds you and your loved ones during
this holiday season and throughout the new year!

Caroline: I BELIEVE that love can change the world. I believe that peace on earth can be possible and I believe that each of us must do their part to achieve this same ultimate goal to make things better. For our STAMPING creative challenge I stamped randomly over my background with ink and with white embossing powder. I also added stamped and embossed feathers over vellum paper.
Finally, as we say in French, Joyeux Noël et Bonne Année 2019!

Anat: I BELIEVE in magic and in miracles! In December, almost the same time as Christmas, Jews all over the world celebrate 'Chanukah'. Chanukah celebrates that one day supply of oil miraculously lasted eight days during the re-dedication of the temple. I use STAMPS everywhere so this layout was no exception! I stamped with gesso and colour spray, with versa ink and embossing powder and archival ink!
I wish you all Happy Holidays and a fabulous new 2019!

Daisy: Before having my dog Madie, I had to wait 2 years. The reason I had to wait was because her mother could not get pregnant. I dreamed in my future dog and I had to BELIEVE in it and not despair. I did well to believe with all my strength because she ended up being born. I am very happy to be able to spend time with her now. I used small dots STAMPS on my background. I also used a stamp of flowers and foliage that I embossed in black, colored and fussy cut to create embellishments. Merry Christmas everyone and to all a very Happy New Year!

Torsa: I BELIEVE in myself! Sometimes our happy world starts to fall apart and we can do nothing but watch it. It's suffocating and painful. At that moment self belief is the most important thing, and I have depicted that through my creation! My main focal point is a face STAMP. I have also used stamps on my background. I hope that your holiday season will be full of joy, peace and love
just as you deserve! Happy 2019!

France: My inspiration for this challenge is my son Philippe. He persisted and with Summer classes he was finally able to pass his French exam required for his high school diploma. He BELIEVED he could do it and was able to achieve it. For the creative part of the challenge you will find that words, images and my flowers are STAMPED and embossed. This has been a wonderful year on the More Than Words DT and I am looking forward to another year of creating for you.
Merry Christmas to each and to all!

Nicole: The December word brought to mind festive thoughts, especially with the upcoming Christmas celebrations! I thought of the night before Christmas tradition of leaving Santa Claus a snack and how awesome it was as a child to BELIEVE in the magic of it all. My father was probably more than happy to take a few bites of those cookies! ha! For the creative challenge I did some STAMPING on my background with different mixed media designs as well as snowflakes. I created the tree embellishments on the right of my photo using 3 different tree stamps and embossing powders. This Christmas season I hope that you will all have a little of that childlike wonder and sense of magical belief in your hearts,
and may 2019 bring you lots of inspiration!

We BELIEVE that our fabulous DT creations are so beautiful
and inspiring that you will want to play along with us this month
