Current Design Team

Hi everyone, I'm Ann. I live in Taipei, Taiwan. It is only a small spot on the world map, but I love and thank this land. In this country, I can create freely, and my inspiration is endless. In my childhood, my father was my first art teacher. Once, he taught me to stamp with my fingers, and then he used a pen to draw a few strokes. Surprisingly, they became a bunch of chickens. This was my first experience of art. I felt amazed and since then I've been fascinated with art. In 2012, I accompanied my daughter to participate in paper art courses, and it was then that I started to make cards. I also fall in love with Mixed Media. For the past few years, I have been working with mixed media. Different media have their own individual effects, but when they are mixed together, there will be different results. I enjoy the surprises in the creation process. I especially like vintage, shabby, steampunk style. I am absolutely thrilled to be part of the amazing More Than Words team and I'm looking forward to sharing my creations with all of you along the way!

Hi everyone! I'm Elle, in the wilds of Scotland, UK. There has always been paint and paper in my life for as long as I can remember, and I have been drawing since I was a kid. I love art journalling and that is my main focus, but I also make other papercrafting things, and like to crochet and sew.  I like to use as much recycled products as I can, anything eco-friendly, and I love all kinds of paint but especially watercolour!  I like to make my own supplies, handmade paper, inks, paints, stamps, stencils, re-purposing and reusing items from around the house or from nature,so of course I also like junk journalling!  I am very messy and usually covered in some kind of paint or ink. I also LOVE cats, nature, gardening, baking, fibre crafts and books and I am usually listening to audiobooks in my art room. I have been blogging since 2005 and you can find me at Empire of the Cat, where I share my arty adventures.

Hi! My name is Heather McMahon and I’m from Australia. I live on a small farm with my husband. My two university-aged kids often come home too. I’ve been papercrafting for over 20 years and I never tire of it. Ok, I confess, I’m obsessed! I love the way papercrafting keeps evolving and that anything goes when it comes to styles, products and creativity.

At the end of 2020 I went one step further and started up my own papercraft business with my daughter. The business is called ArtStacks and we’re thrilled to be a More Than Words sponsor too.

I also love to travel and have no end of travel photos to scrap!

Hi guys!

My name is Heidi. I live in sunny Florida with my handsome hubby, my youngest kid (the older 2 are in college) and our sweet little dog. I work as a physical therapist and group fitness instructor, but you can find me crafting in my free time.

I love creating art journal spreads and mixed media projects and, every once in a while, a scrapbook layout. Over the past year I have had the honor of being a Guest Designer for More Than Words Challenge in April and being on the design team for Miniature Luxuries and Papers.

My style is always evolving as I spend more time getting my hands dirty in paints and inks and seeing others' artwork online.

My name is Kasia - Kat Paleczny and I live in Poland.  I started my adventure with my favourite mixed media style 3 years ago.  I work professionally infecting the young generation with my passion.  I love to experiment, look for new ways to express myself and learn new things.  My style is changing so I'm sure everyone will find something for themselves.  I love to read but I do not have enough time for this.  I am so happy and excited to be part of the amazing More Than Words team!

My name is Axelle, but my scrap nickname is Kouneli - it's Greek, it's the little name my dad gave me as a child. I live in France with my partner and my two cats. I have been scrapbooking for several years now. I started with a clean style and soon switched to a more free and mixed media style. I love stamps and colours, getting my hands dirty and experimenting, discovering new things.  Art journalling has become essential for me to communicate my feelings, it's the best way to be free in my opinion because there are no rules in creation. I am very happy to join you for the new challenge

I’m Lena and I live in Turku, located in the region of Southwest Finland. Turku is the oldest city in Finland and the former capital of the country. I live with my husband and 3 cats.  Mom of triplets who are now adults and grandma to two boys. I have been creative all my life thanks to my creative and skilled mother. I love mixed media and art journaling. I try to use recycled materials in my art as well. Someone's trash can be my treasure.

Howdy folks. I’m Lisa Oxley, aka Scrapwitchlisa. A mother to two 20 something girlies and partner Paul for 28 years. I’ve been creating in different forms for over 30 years and discovered paper crafts 20 years ago. Mixed media scrapbooking lead me on the path to find art journaling in 2012 and I have slowly formulated my creative style since then. Over the years I have created with various design teams and have contributed to national and international paper craft magazines.  I’m so happy to be here to create along with the MTW team.

For most of my virtual friends I am known as Matilde. I'm really happy living in Poland/Europe. All my social media are connected with the word "craft", because I'm in love with handicraft. I've been creating many different projects since I was a child. It's still a fantastic adventure for me. Now, you can find among my projects mostly tags, ATC's, scrapbooking layouts and of course art journal pages. I like using paper, inks, mists and texture pastes. I'm a huge fan of stamps. I'm constantly looking for new methods of expression and discovering that paper and media bring various possibilities to create. Besides this I like reading books and gardening. I really love all my hobbies and they make me happy every day :)

My name is Rachel, but I am also known by the artist name of "La p'tite Barbouilleuse". I am an artist who is passionate about Art journaling. However, I also do cards and scrapbooking. Teacher of disabled children by profession, I love playing with words in my creations. I love to play with different mediums, while exploring different creative styles. However, I know my comfort zones as an artist and I know how to respect them! I am always ready to explore new things: my creativity and my inventiveness has no limit.

Hi everyone!  I'm Sharon and I live in a small town in eastern Pennsylvania, USA, with my husband, 2 daughters, and our rescued dog.  I am a registered nurse by day and an avid scrapbooker by night.  I got interested in scrapbooking and photography after we adopted our youngest daughter from China 18 years ago, and I haven't stopped since.  I am so excited to be a part of the More than Words design team and can't wait to share my projects with all of you!

Hello everyone, my name is Sunila Mahajan, and I live in Bangalore, India. I was born and brought up in Nairobi Kenya, and moved to India after I got married. This has given me the opportunity to have experienced two different worlds, cultures and though process, and unite them in one.  Alongside Painting, I developed a liking to Mixed Media, and have been doing that for about 9 years.  I am an artist who paints from the heart and this is conveyed in my work. Texture and rich colour are my style.
I enjoy using mixed media mediums- inks, pigments, stencils, stamps and textures creating one cohesive whole. I now enjoy creating  art journal pages because they give me the freedom to play with colours, try out techniques, and still piece it all together as a single story.  Apart from that, I enjoy creating cards, tags, scrapbook layouts, home décor, altered art and paper crafting.  Working in several Design Teams over the years has given me the encouragement to keep on with my craft, apart from meeting so many fabulous people and constantly being inspired. I enjoy creating and inspiring those around me and I hope I’m able to do the same here too.
