Artist Bio
Hi, I'm Libeeti Frenkel from Israel. I'm so excited and thrilled to be a Guest Designer for MTW mini challenge this month.
I'm a single Mom of 2 teenage boys and I'm a full time civil servant. I love paper craft of all kinds. For many years I was focusing on 12x12 layouts and mini albums, but in the last couple of years I mainly make cards and mini albums. I love building my mini albums from scratch, from start to finish. As for my style - well, it has evolved through the years, and still is. For many years my style could be defined as vintage, multi layers. At some point, I started creating mixed media and loved it very much. Then I had a big twist towards Clean & Simple, as I thought it was very challenging for me. This is the style I'm using these days.

Q & A with Libeeti
How long have you been creating art?
I've been creating for more than 15 years. Started with cards and home decor projects, then I was hooked on scrapbooking and mixed media, and back to card making and mini albums.
What is your favourite type of art supply or product?
My Big Shot and Misty, along with stamps, dies and ink pads.
Are you inspired by a particular artist or artists, if so who?
I'm inspired by many artists, no one in particular. When I bump into a technique or style that is new to me, I search the web to learn and to get inspired.
What is your favourite colour palette to use?
I can't really answer this question, as I always love to try new color combination, especially those that expand my color choices.
Why do you enter art challenges?
Oh, that's an easy one! because it makes me go out of my comfort zone! Challenges are an excellent way to use styles, techniques, materials and products I wouldn't think to use otherwise. Another reason is that sometimes when my mojo is law, challenges are the best way to get my creative juices flow again.
Libeeti's Interpretation of our May Mini Challenge
When I got the challenge, the word 'wave' reminded me of the ocean, beach, etc. I had a completely different idea at the start, but when I went through my DP (designer papers), I bumped into Mintay Papers 'Marina' collection and I was so carried away by the elements in this collection, so I decided to make a 'message in a bottle' birthday card, as if the wishes were carried by the ocean waves. This time I went back to my former style, the vintage, multi layers and distressed style. I hope you like my card!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful card with us Libeeti! We hope that you were as carried away with Libeeti's message in a bottle card as we were and that it inspires you to enter the Mini Challenge this month.
