Welcome back to the 2nd Reveal of our AUGUST Main Challenge 
at More Than Words!

 It’s holiday time in the northern hemisphere, and we have a fabulous sketch drawn up to inspire you.

Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR THE CHALLENGE

Is it holiday time where you live or maybe you’re dreaming of that wonderful break you had last year? Or do you CHILL OUT by relaxing with a book or working in the garden? We want to hear about whatever makes you relax. We need to see in your project how our word inspired you. If it isn’t obvious in your work, then please explain it in your post. 

To make you relax even more, our very own Heike Bruhn has created a fabulous SKETCH for you to use!

Cecilia: It is incredible how even a quick visit to the beach helps to recharge the enthusiasm and energy in these times! CHILL OUT and take a break! Pure joy on a wonderful evening!

DANA TATAR

Dana: I often think back on how lucky I was to be able to get away to the Dominican Republic this past January. It was the first vacation my husband and I took alone since we were married 16 years ago. I cherish the time that I had to CHILL OUT even more now that safe travel is no longer an option. I rotated the SKETCH one click to the left for a slightly different take on the original design.

  

ANASTASIA TVERITNEVA

Anastasia: I really liked creating a SKETCH layout. I didn’t have to think about the composition - I could just create for pleasure! My layout is about CHILLing OUT outdoors in the summer time. For my project I used the very summery "Better times" paper collection by Mintay papers.

HEATHER McMAHON

Heather: I took the CHILL OUT theme literally, and wrote about us spending a cold winter at home because we can't travel due to the Corona virus. I loved using Heike's fun SKETCH!

 SARAH DORGERE

Sarah: I chose this photo because it is the first CHILL OUT weekend that we had after the period of the Covid and the confinement. At the same time, it was also the first time that daughter Léa discovered the sea as well as the sand. A real moment of happiness!

HEIKES AUGENBLICK

HEIKE: For this sketch challenge I chose yupo paper and I painted on it with watercolors in green and light blue. My photo is taken on the first day out after our Corona lockdown here in The Netherlands. My husband and I had so much fun, so much laughter, and happy chill moments in the woods.

YULIA POPKOVA 

YULIA: This month's SKETCH is very inspiring! I took the main elements of the composition as a basis and this is what I got. These are photos of the beach at night that I took in 2017. The night, the quiet lapping of the waves, and the white light of the moon above the water ... it is very relaxing. A night on the beach or in a house by the sea is my CHILL OUT.

JOLANDE van OOSTERHOUT 

JOLANDE: For the month of August I chose a CHILL OUT photo with all sunny colors around it. Sit in the grass and think about your day. This month it is easy for everyone. A nice sketch that almost guarantees a good result!
